APPLE: Press Event
Apple has announced a press event at its Cupertino headquarters on Monday, Sept. 9, at which new iPhone and Apple Watch models are expected to be revealed. The event will be streamed on Apple's website and YouTube.

Analysts predict the iPhone 16 could feature larger screens, a redesigned camera bump, and a new color. The new Apple Watch is likely to include a faster chip. Apple may also announce the release date for iOS 18, which will introduce "Apple Intelligence," a set of AI features. The event invite tagline, "It’s Glowtime," hints at a Siri redesign.

META: Major Claims
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg claims that the Biden Administration "pressured" the company to censor COVID-19 content, including humor and satire. In a letter to the House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg said the White House repeatedly urged Meta to remove certain posts in 2021, expressing frustration when the company didn’t comply.

While Meta ultimately made the decisions on content removal, Zuckerberg admitted he regrets not being more outspoken against the government pressure, which he believes was wrong. The White House defended its actions, stating it aimed to protect public health during the pandemic.

AFFORDABLE: Weight Loss
Eli Lilly has launched a more affordable version of its weight loss drug, Zepbound, aimed at uninsured patients, including those on Medicare. This new option, available through LillyDirect, offers single-dose vials at $399 for 2.5 mg and $549 for 5 mg per month. Unlike the autoinjector pens, these vials require patients to use a syringe and needle.

The move addresses growing demand, expands supply, and helps protect against counterfeit versions. Patients can purchase the vials directly from Lilly’s site, ensuring they receive genuine medication. Eli Lilly is also taking legal action against those selling fake versions of Zepbound.
